- There is NO entry or registration fee.
- Karnataka Students from 8th to 12th Std. are eligible to participate.
- Multiple teams per school (2 members per team) will be allowed to participate.
- Students of Schools/PU Colleges in the City Corporation limits of Bangalore, Mysore, Mangalore, Bellary, Davangere, Hubli-Dharwad, Belgaum & Gulbarga cities are not eligible to participate in the quiz.
Schedule and Guidelines for Rural IT Quiz 2009
Round 1: Statewide Prelims on 19th September, 2009 between 10am and 11am:
The test should be written as a team (2 students per team).T he school/college itself will correct the test paper and select "Two Best Teams" in oreder of Merit.
Round 2 : District Level Quiz on 3rd October, 2009 from 11am to 12 noon :
Each school/college to send their team for the district round. test should also be written as a team (2 students per team). After the written round, the top 50 teams from each district will be selected for Round 3.
Round 3 : Regional Level Quiz Competition from 20-10-2009 to 4-11-2009:
There would be 6 Regional Rounds across the State. Time: 11 am to 4 pm

Top 50 teams from each district will take part in the Regional Level Competition.Written test will be administered to all the teams.Top 6 teams from each regional round will be called on stage to take part in an interactive quiz .The winning team from each regional round will participate in the State Final.
Round 4 : State Finals on 12th November, 2009 – 10th Anniversary Special IT Quiz :
The finals will be held as part of the Asia’s premier ICT event "BangaloreIT.biz 2009" hosted by the Department of IT, BT and Science and Technology, scheduled from 11th to 13th November, 2009 at Bangalore, the "IT Capital of India".
- Track-1 : The winning team from each Regional Level Round, will participate in the State Finals to be held at Bangalore on 12th November, 2009, during the event Bangalore IT.biz, at Palace Grounds, Bangalore.
- Track-2 : The State Final winners are then selected for one more Quiz Competition with the 5 winning teams of TCS IT Wiz conducted in 5 cities viz Kolkata, Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Kochi and Bangalore Urban.
